94 Z28 need help wont start
i have a 94 Z28 and i can not get it to start. My optispark was replaced a few months ago as were my plug wires. I check for spark and my fuel pump is working. The engine sounds like it is out of time when u try to start it. I was going to bring it into my school shop to change the spark plugs because there was a lack of power and the morning i went to start it up to bring it in it wouldn't start. All help is welcome. Thanks

Re: 94 Z28 need help wont start
check your battery, if it has enough power to crank, it still might not have enough power to fire the spark plugs. you should have 12-14 volts from post to post. less than that, there is your problem. other than that, hard to say without actually being there to diagnose it.

about the battery, it is true, I just experienced it myself, but it was an older TPI car.

Re: 94 Z28 need help wont start
i had a 95 v- 6 before that did the same thing. it would even crank up for a sec but run like absolute shit. changed the plugs, cranked right up. the plugs are hard as hell to get to on your car, but try and look at one to see if its gapped wrong or looks burnt up. lemme know if this helps.
