Anyone use Morpheus/Kazaa or any other file sharing system?

I use Morpheus, does anyone use any of these or any others? What's your opinion on the different systems?

I think Kazaa got shut down...

I don't personally use any such programs, but I've heard good things about the following three:

Morpheus
WinMX

Kazaa has spyware, so don't use that if it is still around. Morpheus is one of the better ones I have used. I just came across this one yesterday. It takes some time to get used to, but is pretty good. Here is the link:

Have tried Winmx,good range of stuff available,can be hard picking which downloads are busy and which are available.can be a bit slow if you try to download max.no. of tracks on a 56k modem.
Search facility is pretty good and part download re-start facility is very useful.Supports mpeg and mov exchange as well but seems to be mainly porno clips!

I have used WinMX, Morpheus and Kazza. Morpheus and Kazza use the same search engine, both are peer to peer, such as WinMX which utilize the same basic software as that one shut down a while but forgot the bloody name.

Napster: Used it, hated it!! (but it WAS free...)
Kazaa: Use it now. But I might change now that I know that they use spyware...

WinMX is all I know,any particular reason you don't like?

There is a way to remove the spyware and the pop up ads and still make it run fine. I can't use it at work anymore becauase they monitor how much we DL now. I don't remember how or what version they are on now, but there are ways to remove it.

Are you sure about that? Everytime I moved the files, and registry strings that was used for the spyware. It told me that the program could no longer run, and needed to be reinstalled. Just use morpheus. They are almost identical.

You can't download from multiple users to maximise speed. At least I haven't found the way. And also, when downloading big files (600Mb+) and the user you're trying to download from decides to go offline - you're screwed (again, at least I'm screwed, haven't heard of the resume function). On the other hand, more stuff that I need are there...

I use Morpheus for the Music and Kazza for the racing videos and other such stuff like software and what not. but if Kazza and Morpheus are run by the exact same people and the exact same premise and the exact same systems, dont you think Morpheus would have spyware also?? i think it would. i have no problems with kazza, it works fine. the only thing is, i just wish i could see who im downloading things from, such as, what connection they have. that would make things go a lot faster.

See, they are not ran by the same company. They are based on the same program, same engine, and both users access the same files. Also, I know for a fact morpheus does not use spyware, versus kazaa. Run a search for these two, and you will see a thread discussing this from a few months back.

Yes, there is a way to change those files so the program will run, but no more spyware. Try DL'ing some anti-spyware programs to remove it.

Yes, I do that. Then when the anti spyware program finds it, it deletes it. No biggie. They both work, choose what you want.
