distributor making funny noise????

my distributor is making a squeking high pitched noise when the car is running anyone no what this could be ? ????

I had a problem similar to this when the bearings in my distributor were out... eventually when they did, the shaft just siezed up, and I had to replace the whole distributor.

replace it before it strands you somewhere.Mine did the same and i forgot about it and it strandid me.

Yes... you can have the distributor rebuilt... but it's probably not a job you can do on your own.
