check engine light after swap!!!?

ok my friend took him civic to some guy to get his d16ysomething, swaped out for a d15b, alittle better engine.

my question is about the code we pulled fromt he civic, the code was 23=knock sensor or circit. dose the d15b have a place for a knock sensor, and if not what do we do, and if so are there problem areas for this to fail.

also i wasent there but the mechanic showed him an electrical plug in that he could not find a place for. we look to see if we could find it agian, but couldnt(it is supposed to be under the intake manifold) and i didnt want to start ripping stuff off if there is an easier way. Any suggestion would help, expierance much needed.

Re: check engine light after swap!!!?

no it si the usdm ecu, also the computer is automaticlly retarding the timing because of the knock sensor malfuntion, so seting the timing over agian would cause the ecu to retarding the timing agian. if i am wronge, explain
