Ferrari F1-2000 with SMS Kit (Preview)

Hi,
this is the latest model I'm working on. I spend many hours and it`s still not really finished. Some small things to do. The SMS photoetch kit is amazing. I didn't use the carbon-kit from SMS. All the carbon decals are made by myself. I used different cf from various manufactures. I think it's coming out very well.

Painted in tamiya Bright Red with some coats of Two component clear - very nice shine. You can`t really tell from the pics.

I plan to place it open in a little diorama with some old figures from tamiya. I`ve made a little Michael from the old Tamiya driver using a little drill press to make the head look like Schumacher. The helmet is made out of paper and a little to small. It's more 1/24 scale. I've got to make a new one. You can download various helmets here:

http://metmania.fc2web.com/frame.html

So I hope you like it. I will post another thread when the diorama is finally finished, but this will take some while.....

Some feedback please!

Damn!
It looks great...and all that CF...wow! What brand is the cf you used on the airbox (the one with Shell written on it)?
I think you've done great. And "your" Schumacher is looking quite similar to the "real" one
Congratulations. I hope you can finish the diorama soon. I'm looking forward to it...
Once again, congrats!

Wow! You can use a drill press to make a driver figure look like Schumi? I gotta learn that trick! Seriously- good looking build, and the figure is cool!

Great work, lots of nice touches like the rounded off wheel nuts. And I particularly like the idea of modifying Schumacher's head with a drill press!

Didn't you know that's how Adrian Newey did Coulthard? ZING!

That, though, is one helluva model. It's just too cool.
