Random Stall of 97 Chev Blazer

I have 1997 Chev Blazer 4.3l 4x4 and is also experiencing the same problem. It just dies randomly but will start rather quickly. I have replaced the ignition coil and it is still the same. It also stalls while it is running even on high speed but most of the time (at this time) it dies when I make a turn to the right and step on the brakes. Seems like an electrical problem. It does not cough nor show hesitation. Sometimes it will do hard start but will start on the second try. I really need help on this.

what about a fuel pump? sometimes cars will randomly die because they are not getting enough gas? Another idea could be to put some fuel injector treatment or some dry gas in, espcially if it is cold where you live... Its better to check the little things rather then the other bigger/more expensive things..

Also, if you hadnt have said it starts easily id have said to check your plugs and plug wires, sometimes they coarode and if it isnt getting a constant spark, it could stall.. (ie: push lawnpowers, to quick shutoff you pull the plug wire off of the spark plug..

just a few ideas, im no expert so dont hold me at this.

Re: Random Stall of 97 Chev Blazer

I have seen my share of these units get fixed by reprogramming the PCM. Occasionally, the vehicle will require a computer. This is a last resort, only to be used if everything else has been ELIMINATED. Chech connections and grounds. Ray

It is me again, and the BLazer is still wacko. Most of the time (if not all) it dies when turning and applying the brake. I'm thinking that it is still electircal in nature. I have replaced the spark plugs and wires already. What is crazy is it dies when turning.

Re: Random Stall of 97 Chev Blazer

I have heard about Blazer problems, not this year, that had a proble, like that related to a low fuel condition on turns would sloxh below the level of the fuel pump and it would lose fuel for second. Try it with a >1/2 tank?
