Making your own parts
Anyone know how to make your own parts? Resin/vacuform/photoetch etc? I just got done modifying a seat for a car, and I'd like to make a few more.

Re: Making your own parts
Where do you get the resin casting kits? What are the most common brands of casting kits.

"smooth on" makes some good stuff, and it's only 30 bucks for every thing you need.

Re: Making your own parts
as for some "primitive" photo etching...you can get some sheet metal thats about the right thickness and color the part you want with a sharpie..then let it sit in Radio Shck etchant solution and every once and a while turning it and flipping it....after its done etching rinse it in water to stop the etching process...and remember...ALWAYS WEAR GLOVES or you might end up with a hole in your hand
