Make your own band.

Ok, make what you think would be the ultimate band!

Only requirments are that members must be musicions, they must be alive, and they must still be performing in some way or other.
And of course you need a full band.

Heres mine.

Rodger Waters, (from Pink Floyd)
Niel Finn, (from Splitenz and Crowded House)
Brian May, (from Queen)
Phill Collins, (from Genisis)
Ian Anderson, (from Jethro Tull)

They can all play what ever instruments they feel like, (since all are multi talented) but clearly Phill Collins should be on Drums primeraly. And they can all take turns at singing and song writing, (as all are legends) but I would prefer Niel Finn and Rodger Waters to be the main song writers

i'd get James Hetfield for lyrics and some guitar(Metallica)
i'd get Jason Newsted for bass(Metallica)
i'd get Kirk Hammett for guitar(Metallica)
i'd get Lars Ulrich for drums(Metallica)

if only they existed...

Hey Moppie that looks like a Primo band - I like all of those artists.....but who would do most of the vocals? Don't 4 of them sing?

How about this, since you took my other favourite musicians:

Chris Cornell (SoundGarden)
Tom Morello (Rage)
Huey (Fun Lovin' Criminals)
A really good drummer.....none spring to mind...

All 5 of them sing actualy, so it would be up to them to decied. they all have very good, but very differnt vocies, so it would be intersting.
(I think you would need to include about a kilo of dope a day to stop them potentialy killing each other though.)

For a kick it would also be good to get Lisa Lobb and Shierly Mason(garbage) to do some singing. :sun:

I like your collection by the way, much more modern and a much younger collection than mine.

Anybody Feel free to use artists alread mentioned.

hermunn123 Wow man! what a cool idea for a metal band! :smoka:

Vinnie-Paul Darrel on drums (Pantera)
Flea on bass (RHCP)
Kirk Hammet taking the guitar (Metallica)
Till Lindemann doing vocals (Rammstein)
along with Ozzy or Rob Zombie as vocals too

That would be an awesome awesome bband. the voices would rule, one low one high, it'd be almost scary. But that's all goooooood.

Lightbulb Not quite what you were asking for, but...

I want Brittany Spears, Jennifer Lopez, Christina Aguilera, Destiny's Child, Madonna, Janet Jackson, Cher, Bjork, TLC, Pink, Courtney Love, Fiona Apple, Paula Abdul, Sinead O'Connor, Gloria Estefan, Eve, Lil' Kim, Willa Ford, k. d. lang, Faith Hill, Geri Halliwell and the Spice Girls, Whitney Houston, Jewel, La Toya Jackson, L7, Alanis Morrisette, Jessica Simpson, Mandy Moore and Tina Turner all on one stage together.

I couldn't care less what they would do up there, but I know it would be great to watch. I bet someone would end up dead. :evillaugh

hey, vampi looks scary now...ice cold

back to topic, anyway, there are plenty of good drummers out tehre, Lars and Vinnie Paul being a couple. megadeth's too, i forget his name. Then again Mustaine himself makes for good vocals, just as long as one has a few gallons of heroin around

With some advance planning I would make sure more than one of them wound up dead!! j/k

I know this is breaking the rules a little but I wonder what sort of sound these guys would have made:

Syd Barrett (Pink Floyd)
Sid Vicious (Sex Pistols)
Keith Moon (The Who...I think)
Kurt Cobain (Nirvana)
Flea (RHCP)
The Drummer from Def Leppard.

Actually im not sure they'd be capable of producing anything as a group (ignoring the fact some of them are dead).

DAMN STRAIGHT MOPPIE!!!!!

A group of My friends and I performed "criminal" on stage at our schools talent show and two of us Promptly got Suspended For "blatant Promotion of Drugs and illegal behavior" or something like that (school sucks)

but anyway-

Who was it that said no good Drummers spring to mind?
Carter Beaufard or Tony Medieros For one(two?)! Man, those two can Play!

ummm...For Guitar...Wes Borland or DAVE DEAGER! (local legend)
Bass- Stefan Lessard or Flea.
Vocals- Fiona Apple or Gwen Stefani...better yet, BOTH of them...at once...and a can of Whipped Cream...AHH! shut up brain.
Auxiliary Percussion- The backup Drummer for GUSTER (or me)
Probably pull Cathy Morris or Boyd Tinsley for Strings and such for a little more texture...and I would KILL to find someone who can play that Zither AND the Scitar....

um...i listen to punk rock and 80's pop...so i won't answer this
(with a side diet of alternative from the early 90s) (i happen to be permanently stuck years behind any music movement) (I was also the only kid in my elementary school who could name all the Beatles, every Led Zep album, and thought Davy Jones of the Monkees was cuter than anyone from New Kids on the Block)

anyway...I wonder why Prog-Boy Shawn(shadowboy) hasnt reponded to this with his 2 cents

(and it will prolly include that guy from Rush, the guy from that other lame Prog band and those other guys from those other lame prog bands ) (you know I love you Shawn!!!!!!)
