Is this deal too good to be true? Or is it not a deal at all?

I've never given the 1st-gen CRX's much thought becuase of the age and difficulty in finding parts, but this seems like a REALLY good deal. I just found this car on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2455505809. The blue shell seems like it's in good shape, even though the interior probably needs work. If I can get the car for under $1000, I can probably make my money back selling all of the parts from the wrecked car. What do you guys think? Does this seems too good to be true? Should I wait for a 2nd-gen? Again, I would normally want something a bit newer, but this seems like a really good deal. Any help is appreciated.

i dunno, to me it seems like a good deal, ur gettin 2 ZC's which alone cost 500 for one, ur getting one car loaded with good parts worth selling or using, and ur getting another car with an excellent body, heres what i'd do, get the better of the 2 ZC's and toss it into a 4th gen, then put the other ZC in the car with the good body, transfer all the good shit over to the car with the good body and sell whatever else there is on the wrecked one, then u can either cruise around in the good rex, or sell it for more then what u paid for it since it has a good running ZC in it

1PhatCX, your idea is exactly what I would do, but being in colllege without a car, I've come to the realization that I don't have the time or ability to do all of that. I would have to wait until this summer to do all of the work, and I need a driveable car sooner than that. This is the kind of project that would be perfect if I was in my 30's, with a regular job, and time that I could spend on the weekends working on the cars. Insread, I'm just going to keep waiting until a good deal on a 2nd-gen pops up. It's much easier to find parts for those, anyway. Thanks for all the help, though.

I knew that

Was actually a friend of mine that had an old 87 CRX Si that got me into Honda's at all... He loved his CRX.. had it lowered, nice paint job, custom interior with an amazing sound system.
Of course, he suggested that I get the 88-91 CRX because of more available parts.. and I did.. and the rest is history.

Looks like a decent deal to me.

Is there a website that sells those kits or has pictures of them?
