supercharging

if i were to supercharge an sc400, would i need to change any internals? if not how much boost could the engine handle in stock form?

also, does any1 have any idea how much work and $$$ id have to put into the engine to get a reliable 500hp+ at the rear threads??

thanx

Re: supercharging

i think this 1 was custom made, since no kits for supercharging an sc400 are out there yet, although i read somewhere that a company of blokes from australia are working on it...

It would surprise me that someone in Australia is making a supercharger for the SC400. there are heaps of soarers over here but most of them are the 2.5L twin turbo ones. they go hard. and they do it in luxury.

Re: supercharging

Blazed,
That one was the Prototype. And was on an Active UZZ32 Soarer..
So far there are 6 Soarers with that YT1500 Charger on them and 1 Celsior (LS400) has one..

They are running at around 6psi a peice.
Some are now Piggybacked with Unichip and Perfect Power SMT6..

Soon mine will have the AFM removed useing Map-ECU www.mapecu.com
Also the upgrade SMT7 when the sofware is completed.

Mine IS NOT from Forced Air..
It is mine and my mates Full Cast Manifold.

So far I have run a 13.59 on the 1/4 with 176KwAtw.

Latter development will be Using an Opcon Twin Screw.(But Hood mod's will be nesseary)

The YT1500 (M90 Internals) is not awe inspiring BUT..It does give great driveablity and far more Torque to play with.
