Re: No running lights but have headlights

Sounds vaguely familiar to problem I just corrected on my 96 GA. My dash lights and fog lights weren't working so I checked fuses listed for them, they were good. Eventually I found out my taillights weren't working either and found the fuse for them was bad, and replacing fix'd everything. ( no idea why fuse blew though)

I have a similar problem with my 91 Grand Am LE. A service tech told me that the dash light circuit and the DRL circuit are linked somehow. He said that if the drl blows the dash lights go out. It makes sence as the previous owner told me that there is a short somewhere in the DRL circuit and it doesnt have a proper fuse (he used a 30amp in place of a 20amp to get around this problem. i dont know why, but the headlights work and the dash/DRL dont).
