No Brake Lights, but have 3rd Brake Light and Turn Signals

I have a 97 Cutlass Supreme. I don't have brake lights, but I do have the 3rd Brake Light and turn signals. Does anybody have a electrical diagram that could tell me if the brake light circuit runs through the turn signal? If I had a ground problem with the lights, would I not have turn signals?

i have the exact same problem, in my case it's the turn signal switch... check it out, put a little pressure on it like ur turning ur brights on then push in the break, and if it's the switch the lightts will come on but if they do not come on then i have no idea.

Thanks for the reply. I had already checked the turn signal switch and that is what it turned out to be. I could slightly pull on the switch and get the brake lights to work, and they would continue to work until I use the turn signal switch to indicate Left or Right.

Next question is how hard is the switch to replace? Does the Steering Whell have to be pulled, or can you get it out by removing the little cover in front of the switch??????

Yep, you have to pull the steering wheel.
