Re: 1992 isuzu rodeo 3.1 ecu connector location?
Hi there:
By the ECU there is two wire, I believe there are two colors and a white jacket. The port is located on the passnger side under the glove box. You have to reach up behind the glove box to get to it. Hope it helps! |

Re: 1992 isuzu rodeo 3.1 ecu connector location?
Hi there:
Yes those wires are part of the Diag system. I guess it depends on the diag comupter you have. Perhaps the big connector on the passenger side is for the non handheld unit and the two wires are for the handheld unit. I'm not quite sure, I have the service book and it is a little confusing. |

Re: 1992 isuzu rodeo 3.1 ecu connector location?
Hi No, the port is on the passenger side. The ecm is located on the drivers side.
The ALDL connector has three wires going to it, orange, white black and white black. Told you it was complicated. I have to say, that you should get a manual, I just got one from ebay, pretty cheap. The weird thing is that one figure shows a terminal connect with 12 sockets. And yet the the ecm wiring diagagram only shows 3 wires being used. |

Re: 1992 isuzu rodeo 3.1 ecu connector location?
Acording to the book the connect is in the center of the console, I guess my tech pulled it from there and left it up behind the glove box. Your not removing the glove box, right? Just checking, its below the dash behind the glove box area.

Re: 1992 isuzu rodeo 3.1 ecu connector location?
WEll.. i havent removed glove box yet.. that was going to be my starting point. hehe.. This is my moms vehicle so if it was mine i wouldnt care and would have jumped the wires already.. thanks for letting me know those arent them.... ill try and look for one under glove box then my next place to look will be behind center console... WHat does ALDL stand for? Hmmm.... this is not as easy to do like my car....

If we are talking about the diagnostic wiring for the ecu for a 92 rodeo, which I drive, it is located in the kick panel by your left foot. There should be two wires taped together that are white with a green stripe running down the side. I recomend getting a repair manual which will give you any aditional information that you might need.
