OT: Getting a new catback tomorrow =)

Well after debating for awhile I have decided to get an ITR catback, I like the sleeper style it will give. I have finally heard one on a LS and it was awesome. It sounds like stock until about 4K then it gets a little tone to it and then about 6K it gets a real nice tone. I will give an update as soon as I put it on along with pics and possibly a how to with pics for anybody wanting to DIY. But for $130 I am getting a 2 1/4 " mandrel bent stainless steel catback, that is OEM and has that OEM quality to it. I am so happy, I just had to share the news

That's a good move. I'd go that route too if I had to do it over again. Congrats.

Re: OT: Getting a new catback tomorrow =)

tsugsr you just have to keep an eye out for a deal. Not a whole lot of ITR owners get rid of their exhaust b/c it is 2.25" and that is the best size unless you go FI.

And yes it is the whole system piping, res, and muffler for $130. I will have a whole DIY article soon so you can check it out.

P.S KrNxRaCer00 I bet you do like your exhaust

There's a wav of ITR exhaust, along with many others, on team-integra.net

Re: OT: Getting a new catback tomorrow =)

whtteg....i'm not sure if it is bolt on. I think the cat is a little short (or something is a little shorter) on the itr so it might not fit right. BTW, if it is straight bolt on, check out the flwmaster website...they have a video of installing their bolton on catback. Pretty easy...2 bolts and 2 clips.

Re: OT: Getting a new catback tomorrow =)

It has been on for 2 weeks now. It was not the first cat back I have installed. But yeah it was about 1" too short, but it is easily fixed by someone pushing foward on the muffler while you bolt it to the cat. It is how I did it anyway until I can get a carsound cat. Thanks anyways.
