Mounting Tweeters

Hey I was wondering if anyone has flushed mounted their tweeters, in an eg hatch, approximately the same location a gsr has them. Would this be easy to do? What does it consist of? Is there enouph clearance? Any help would be appreciated I don't like the way they stick out when they are surface mounted.
Thanks.
BTW, anyone have pics??????

Re: Mounting Tweeters

yes, if your tweeters have the proper mounting equipment there is enough room behind the panel to accomodate for it.

Re: Mounting Tweeters

I have the flush mount kit that came with my fanatic Q's. Would this provide for a good sound staging, because as of now I have them a lot lower and I need something to pick the music up off the floor.

One quick side question how do these speakers compare with Polk db6500. I know the polks are better but would it be worth a 150 dollar upgrade.
Thanks for the help

BTW, any pics!!!

Re: Mounting Tweeters

no pics, i have done it in probably every year civic 88 up, i can take pics of my integra with the angle mount for mb quart. Personally i don't like Polk at all, i would stick with the RF's, if they are new model fanatics the technology is the same as the quarts (RF owns the MB Quart name, but MB still makes their own product.) Do you have a dremel tool?

Re: Mounting Tweeters

I don't have a dremel tool but plan on getting one for this project. I'v noticed their commercials aren't just BS and they could actually save me alot of time.

Re: Mounting Tweeters

good idea, the dremel with a 1/8" drill bit makes this job really easy.

Ya I just I flushed mounted them like the ones in your pic. They look really good. Evan my boss compimented me about them when he saw them and he is usually crackin jokes about my car.

Dremel tool was the perfect tool for the job. Took about 20 minutes a door but I was pretty anal about getting them in the exact same spot on each panel.

Are there any sail pannels made for a 96 integra that fit aftermarket tweeter? If there are, anyone know where I can find them?
