93 b16a dx coupe vs 2004 neon srt4

i have a 93 dx coupe jdm b16a swap with aem cai / dc header/ full exhuast and a pr3 mugen ecu and im on 13 inch stocks i have no traction problems at all my friend just got a 04 neon srt4 got a new bov for it and thats all he has and he has take off problems he doesnt start to move till mid 2nd gear or so what are my chance's im a way better driver than him too?

no traction till mid second???? he needs to lay off the gas damn. launch at lower rpm.

i got a feeling that he may catch you once he gets traction... but if he doesn't know how to launch maybe he can't shift either. maybe he'll throw it into 5th instead of fourth...haha...

right now i'm having a brain fart and can't remember if that neon is a low 14 or low 13 sec car? you probly aren't any more than mid to high 14 right?


so anyway if you are gonna try and beat him do it before he figures out how to drive the car, because once he does he will rape you...

he cant drive good but he drive's good enough to hit the right gears but i figure i'll have him till the middle to end of 3rd gear before he fly's by me hopefully i can hold out till end of 3rd so i can flash my hazards for the victory

he can't drive then (so yes, ur a better driver)

the new 04's are a high 13 second car w/ more power to the WHEELS than to the crank in some cases. they're amazing, and ur high 14-low 15 second car really doesn't have a chance w/ equal drivers.

They must have done the ol' underrate the HP to keep the insurance down classic move... Mopar was great at that in the 60's!

its impressive.

i've only seen video's/articles of the car (want to go test-drive one this weekend before leaving ), but they're simply amazing.

i think its brilliant of them to underrate the hp. especially after the tiburon and the rx-8. it makes them seem so much more "honest" and like ur getting "more for ur money..." all while saving on the insurance bill.

Those neons are rated at 14.1 in the 1/4, just an fyi.
If he loses a second on a fumbly launch, you should take him with a perfect run on your part... but don't expect that to happen.

Man face it, You wont WIN. No chances.
Driver driver...bla bla bla...its still a neon SRT-4. If you would be running against a GSR...yeah driver...but SRT-4. You need an s2000 to make it driver against driver, an NA b16 like mine not gonna match a 2.4 Turbo, pushing 250hp...even if it weight more.

yea if i can get enough jump on him i think i can hold a lead on him till middle of 3rd gear hopefully end of 3rd but he will most likely pass me in 3rd gear im going to purchase the 55 shot wet kit from zex in like 3 weeks so with that im sure i can take him out

last nite we raced i had my cold air/header/exhuast/mugen chip and i finally seen his motor hes got cold air intake and bov ont he srt4 well we launch and i have him maybe 2 cars 2nd gear i hold ground on him same 2 cars by 3rd he starts to catch me quick by end of 3rd hes 2 cars ahead shit pulls hard in 3rd CRAZY HARD

are you sure it was a cold air intake?
on a turbo?
