Ford Focus SVT vs. Dodge Neon SRT4

what do ya think would be a betta choice a neon SRT4 or a focus SVT 02 or up, iam not working wit a big budget so.... idk what 2 do , i beliefe that the dodge got betta stats but the SVT just looks pretty 2 me. wha should i do...?

both are decent cars but proformance wise the SRT-4 is soo much better. I would go SRT-4 all the way

SRT-4 All the way. No doubt. Also, this should go into the car comparisons forum. But really, it's no contest on which would be better. SRT-4. How much of a budget are you dealing with anyway? L8...

Well it all depends. The Srt-4 is the fastest and has the best engine to build on. It can handle tons of boost due to forged internals. So if your a daily driver that likes speend and don mind spending 16k then srt-4 is for you.

The SVT focus has a better suspension. Its will out corner the srt-4 by quite a bit. Its built for auto x. if thats your thing get yourself into the focus. You will be racing with cars in the same class as you so speed wont matter as much as driver skill and suspension.

Speed and tunability= Srt-4
Corner carver and cheap= Focus Svt

I have an Srt-4 and love it. One of the faster cars on the road. You can allways surprise the hell outa someone with that car. Driven an Srt-4 u wont get much respect. Alot of the Srt-4 owners believe they are gods gift to earth, because of that no one likes srt-4s. I was able to get mine out the door for 18k it. It was a left over 2004 that had been sitten on the lot. I got it with 15 miles on it, viper seats, kicken (or kicker cant remeber) sterio upgrade and a moon roof. I would suggest you buy a gently used 04-05 srt-4. they have 15 more horses and Limited slip. Depending on where you live you can find a used one for 15-18k. Good luck and watch out for Srt-4's that have been beat the hell out of. Mainly under 24 year olds drive these things and they drive em hard.

I hear though in either '07 or '08 SVT is coming out with their own turbo Focus that is going to lock horns with the SRT-4. Should be an interesting battle.

Great, lol someone else who is gunna try to de-thrown the Srt-4 from its fastest car under 20 grand thrown. There is allways the new kid on the block looken to gun me down. O well i'm happy ford is at least maken an effort. But i still think me Skittle will be faster I would be willen to bet they supa charge the ford just like all the other new guys. From what lil i know about ford i don't think they have too many turbo cars on the market in the past or present. Only one i can think of is the ford probe and the focus RS. I think if they took that motor that is in the mazda speed 6 (2.3L turbo 260 hp) and put that in a fwd focus it would SCREAM!!! lol that will def be a contender.

well i really like the way those focuses look... and if you dont have a budget you could buy a turbo and slap it on there and youd be pretty darn fast. idk how fast tho but i imagine at 10psi youd probably be pushing more power than a SRT-4. plus they got a 6 speed... i wish they just sold the focus RS over here... thats bullshit, that thing puts down like the same power as a SRT-4. same deal like how in australia how fords family car over there is 350hp... turbocharged inline 6.

If they had the focus RS over here in the states i would be all over that. A turboed all wheel drive inline 2.0L. I would kill to own that car, of course i would want a rally spec RS 300hp 6 speed awd.

SRT-4 easily. Performance wise is way better and its no slouch in handling, especially if you get the Mopar suspension upgrades. But they aren't the fastest car under 20k im pretty sure, cause the price has gone up

They still are my man. I got mine brand new for 18k hell they are even the fastest car under 25 grand.

Once you go above 25 you start to get cars that are gunna beat you
