I own a 1995 Saturn Sc-1, and when I bought the car, the locks worked fine. A couple of weeks later, it rained hard, and my locks didnt work for about a week. After about a week, they started working again, until it rained again. I was thinking i had a leak, and my lock motors were getting wet. I replaced the relays, and that didnt help. I also replaced the lock motors, and switches, I cannot figure out what is wrong with them. If anyone else is having this type of problem, or knows how to fix it, please leave a response, or email me.
Thanks, Dan |

Re: Electric Locks Don't Work
Hard to say for certain, but one other area you might check is the driver's outside door lock. I believe on your car, the power locks can be activated by turning the key in the driver's door lock. If the key can come out in a postition other than straight up and down, that switch may be disabling the inside switches.
If this turns out to be the problem, you can either replace the driver's door lock cylinder, or just make sure you remove the key when the lock is straight up and down. |
