Rear antilock light
Drove the truck home from work this morning when the rear antilock light came on. the truck acted fine though. Drove it tonight too and the light was on for a while and then went out. Never had this happen before. Is this something electrical or mechanical? thanks.

There is a sensor on the top of the rear end housing it is at the front of the housing above the yoke this is a anti-lock brake sensor. It threads into the housing. This could be the problem or the ring inside the rear end housing. Either one of them could be the problem. Good luk

vss module on rear axle
I had a problem like this too, it also affected the speedometer. The speedo would not start working until 35 mph and would work fine above 35 any speed below 35mph and the speedo dropped to 0. The ABS light came on when this started and stayed on until I replaced the VSS on the rearend. After I replaced the VSS the ABS light went off and the speedometer works fine at all speeds again. $26.25 with taxes at the local Ford dealer... Good Luck... LAters,,,LAkers...

So not sure why it happened in the first place. Now I know what to replace should it happen again. Glad to see I dont have to pay alot either. Thanks again.
