No, not wierd, WERD. As in WORD, or I agree
.I'm not exactly up to speed on the conversion rates, but you could get yourself a full front mount intercooler from iONperformance for a little over $900US. Add on their cold air intake for $200US, and you'll be good to go. |

Why don't you install a manual boost controller, They go for about 50 to 100 bucks and will give you a big gain in power. You will also need a reliable boost guage. I have one installed in my 03 speed and it hauls ass, the tires break loose at about 4500 Rpm in first gear. Don't go over 10 Psi, the stock ecu will get pissed!! |

That being said, it's best to upgrade the intake, IC, or exhaust rather than just slap a boost controller on as your first mod. Yes I agree that it is the best bang-for-the-buck mod, but it is better to know what you are doing before you crank up the boost. If his car is flashed, then the threshold for safely boosting on the stock setup is lowered. He could pop the motor running it at only 10psi with the stock IC and exhaust. Colder plugs are also a MUST for boosting higher. The stock plugs are platinum which can develop hot-spots that cause pre-ignition, and possibly a blown motor. NGK's BKR7E has a copper tip and is 1 step colder, much better for a boosted application. |

Re: Help I Need Some Advice!!!!!!!!
Heres another catch tho, being a dumbass, i leased, that isn't to say that leasing is bad or that people who lease are dumbasses, but does this prevent me from doing any mods due to the dealer warentee issue?

Re: Help I Need Some Advice!!!!!!!!
YOU LEASED IT?!?!?!
Sorry buddy, no real modding for you. You can put on anything that you could easily take off, but aside from an intake you would be risking it. |

i know a guy where i live that has done a few mods to his leased cavalier (ughhh). anyway, he was allowed to do this on the condition that he had to remove all mods and basically return the car to stock form before returning it. youre dealer may be different though, you should check with them before you do anything.

Re: Help I Need Some Advice!!!!!!!!
y not buy it after your lease term expires, the car is worth it... by the way you can do anything to your car but y would you if you leased it and it would be a waste if you put mods and not buy the car... just my opinion...

Re: Help I Need Some Advice!!!!!!!!
Ya i agree, but after four years while the car retain the value? or if i bought it out, then sold it with all the mods wouldn't that be worth it? provided i didn't want to keep it.
