Smile Looking to buy a 1999 Montana. RELIABLE?

I am looking to buy a 99 Montana and wanted to know if there are any common problems with the motor or tranny. Or any other major problems. Please inform me if you have any bad or good experience with this type of vehicle.

Re: Looking to buy a 1999 Montana. RELIABLE?

Watch out for the intake gasket leak, mine just gave out. Caused engine to over heat. Even had anti freeze changed at 50K. Appears to be a BIG problem with the 3.1 & 3.4 engines, along with the DexCool antifreeze. Otherwise I have been very happy with it. Non-maintenance items that have been repaired/replaced; water pump, washer pump. Has very poor heater, not very good air flow with full heat/vent setting.
