Should I Buy

Hi Everyone,

I am new to the forum so i am sorry if this question has already been answered. My lease is up in December of this year and i am looking for a new car. Right now i drive a 07 Lexus IS 250 AWD. It's a very nice car but a bit boring for me. I came from driving a 2003 Porsche C4S. Times became tough and i had to give it up. However, I have started thinking about going for the same type of car again. An 03-04 model year but i have concerns now. These cars are priced around 38-40k which is in my price range but i am worried about A:The fact that the car will be 9-10 years old by the time i get my hands on it. B:what maintenance will cost me per year. C: how reliable the car is at that age, who drove it, will the engine die on me. A new engine for the 911 goes for something like 30k alone. OR, should i buy something that is not a Porsche but new? BTW, my price limit is 42k. All thoughts are welcome.
