Cool Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 in Bayside Blue

Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 V-Spec by Tamiya
In Bayside Blue

Totally built stock. The interior is painted in the 2 tones of German Grey and Red. Wheel rims are straight from the kit and unpainted. Body is painted with Tamiya's TS-50 Mica Blue spray can.

This is my 2nd model, and although it isn't perfect, the results turned out much better than what I had expected. My previous attempt, a Skyline R33, was such a wreck I didn't bother posting any pictures.

Sorry for the mediocre quality of the photos, a 2-megapixel BenQ digital camera was used. All these pictures were taken indoors under the flourescence lamp.

Re: Re: Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 in Bayside Blue

very nice, clean, stock, really wish we had these cars in the states. they're so rare, and the people who own them either don't appreciate them, or wont let you see them in full detail. Congrats on a great build.

Re: Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 in Bayside Blue

Did you paint the R34 with just Mica Blue (Tamiya paint)?

The body was primered with Tamiya Fine Surface Primer (White) before several coats Mica Blue spray paint. Only Mica Blue was used.

Looks really good. Nice clean work. Even though we see so many Skylines, it doesn't hurt to see some more.

what do you mean? there's no 2f2f skyline kit. the one MstngCobraSVT98 built was the same car you have but with an SAS body kit and wing.

nice model! the digi cam works great! i dont think there is such a big difference between a 2MB pixel cam and a 4mb pixel cam, especially when pictures never do the car justice :P
