Talking 1:18 Hot Wheels Corvette C6!!!

I went down to target yesterday and found a 1:18 red C6 by Hot Wheels just sitting there for only $18! It's a great model, doors trunk and hood open very far. On the underside of the hood you can see the corvette logo. The interior has actual rubber seats and are pretty soft. The buttons on the radio are very clear, you can see some weave on the seats and the word corvette is written on the passenger side of the dash. The rims are very shiny and look amazing on it. The tires are real rubber, but they are generic and do not have a name on them. Only in the rear does it wear a license plate, it's from California with and it reads "CORVETTE". It's pretty heavy for a Hot Wheels model, more so in the front than in the rear. Everything under the hood is black, except for the red text "corvette LS2". The engine is where it lacks quality because it looks like everything is one big peice. The paint is also lacking quality because it is moderately dull and doesn't shine much under a light, and there are some chips in the corners. The brake rotors move while the calipers stay in place, but the calipers are just black and don't have anything written on them. Well, I've gone very far into detail, for some pics of one (not mine though), just click the pic:

Very nice! I can see why the quality is low, hot wheels had no time to finish the model. Hows the part fitting? It doesn't look too good.

Re: Re: 1:18 Hot Wheels Corvette C6!!!

On mine all the parts fit correctly. On the picture the door seems kind of crooked, but I think thats because that particular one was bought like a month ago for about $90, so it was probably one of the first off the line where there were still a few imperfections in it. On mine, the parts are assembled pretty well for a hot wheels. Quality is the same as a HotWheels Enzo or S7, except for the hinges aren't as loose (the doors on my enzo only stayed up a couple of times by themselves!) Also, I forgot to mention there are some small dents and imperfections right around the edges of the rims on mine

At the NAIAS they were giving high quality ones out at the press only unvieling. They got snatched up pretty quick, but there are already a few on ebay, if you're willing to pay $250+

That's pretty cool. Sux about the quality though.
