4 X 4 leaking front axle oil seals, 2001
Anyone else have a problem with leaking front oil seals on a 2001 4 X 4?
My left front leaked in 2002 and dealer replaced under warranty. Right one just started leaking and I had to pay. I use 4 wheel very little and it appears that the seals were just not tight enough around the axel's. My drivetrain repair guy that did the last repair says he does a "ton" of these, and he saw no other problem with the front axle other than the seal. |

Sorry dude, nothing you did or can do about it but replace them. Watch your oil cooler lines to start leaking too, its a chevy thing. I bet we see 6-7 of each at the shop every month.
