Olds 88 royale won't start / car alarm

- When turning the ignition key the car will not start. I can hear a clicking under the dash, followed by the car alarm going off.
- The battery voltage is 12.34 volts.
- could it be something else?

follow the cables from the battery to the fuse box and tightn the ends down to make sure their is a sold contact also check the other cables leading to the starter

make sure all grounds on the cables are secure
also are you disarming the alrm when u start the car ?

it shouldnt be going off when u start the car ..does the alarm have the starter kill feature? if it does it might be thinking ur stealing the car and it goes off thus disableing the starting

try also to pull the main fuse on the alarm to temp disable it ..it should have a inline fuse from the battery ..then try to trouble shoot the starting problem with the alarm temp disabled

do i safely
Happy Motoring
