Question Tamiya 180sx: Finding it today?

I realize it's rare, but does anyone know of a source besides eBay (I've had no luck on eBay so far) that has this model in stock? Thanks much!

I don't think so.

I got mine on eBay a while back...just have to be patient. Came 100% complete, even with the 1990 Tamiya Catalogue in the box!

I think I paid around $28. Just be patient...there are some retailers with older stock, but this kit is a bit too old, unfortunately.

I have no answer for you, sorry. But what is that in your sig? Is that a program for keeping track of your models? If it is, how in depth does it go, where did you find it, etc? If you want to PM instead of posting here, feel free. Just curious.

Yeah, I'm fine with waiting and scouring ebay regularly, but you know never know when an obscure online retailler might have it

Nothing that robust... And hm it's horribly out of date. It's just an image that I used to manually update. Can't seem to find the original anymore either... ech.

You know you can set Ebay to send you an e-mail everytime someone posts up a particular item. You just specify the search criteria and everytime someone posts up a Tam 180sx, it'll send you and e-mail. No need to scour, unless they're idiots who don't know how to leave a good description of the items they sell.

Hey, welcome back! I remember you by your cool sig.

Can't help w/ the sourcing... I got mine in my Hobby Shop. It just showed up; they said they'd just found it in their werehouse... Needless to say I didn't put it back down...

You might PM joecwlaw... He seems like he's had a streak of turning up OOP kits lately.

I saw two or three on there last night. Though I didn't pay attention to which company made them. Unfortunately I'm at work & we're not able to go to the eBay website , so I can't find the links for you...

Re: Tamiya 180sx: Finding it today?

i hate it when sellers put that in thier auction titles..

"fujimi no tamiya"

anyway from what I have been told the kit is long since out of production..to bad cuz its 10 times better than the fujimi kit..i got one a while back by searching the internet and i found a shop that had one left.. keep checking ebay they do pop up from time to time..also a google search might find you one..

good luck with your search

Gray

I've got both the Tamiya and the Fujimi Sx's. I bought the kits when they were new for a 240SX convertible conversion I was going to build.
So, if anyone is interested, just PM me and we can talk...
