No Heat
The temp is below 0 and I have no heater fan. I have looked at the fuses. What's there look ok, but some are missing. And I can't find my books on this thing. Does anyone have a diagram? And or suggestions?

Heater Fan Prob
Hi!
Temp here dropped to -48 on Monday (with windchill factor) Damn cold even for here! Lack of heats a drag. There are 2 things to check. First, turn on the fan and smack it a bit. Many times with old heater motors this will restart it. Also, get a test light and see if you have power here while you're at. The '77 to '90 models had the easiest fan to reach, btw! Second, the fan switch & connector itself are known to get fried over the years. This would involve removing the heater control / radio unit to check/replace. Hope this helps.... Thanks Jim,
yea, it got down to -34 without the windchill factor here in Mt. . This thing has been driving me nuts and I don't have a wiring diagram to help. Which wire at the blower should have power to it. and which wire at the heater switch should have power. If I knew those answers, I might have a chance to bypass a switch problem. Paul |

Re: No Heat
Just a quick note. Seems that one of the missing fuses was the culprit. Sure would be nice if the slots were labeled better. Anyhow, I don't know which of my kids pulled the fuse or even why. But, it's working for now. We'll see if it blows or what.
Thanks, |
