Heat then No Heat
My 97 Chevy 1500 has recently started having heater problems. The heater delivers hot air for a short time and then the air turns cold. After a while the air will turn hot again. It's almost like I'm turning the temperature dial to hot then cold. Anyone have any idea?

Re: Heat then No Heat
Start with the basics..is the cooling system full?
Next, does the guage on the dash show the temp changing up and down?

Sounds like a typical low coolant problem doesn't it?

That's exactly what it was. I have a leake where the heater hoses go through the firewall to the heater core. It's been raining here so the leak was not very noticable.
Thanks |
