What's wrong with my car?

Ever since I bought my 99 gxe sentra the clutch pedal always felt like it had a spring under it. It was so strong it would push your foot back off the pedal. That never really was a problem I just used more strength to hold it down. Now there seems to be some sort of rattling going on. My guess would be the throwout bearing. anyone have any ideas?
