i'm want to put different rims on my 94 Z28. maybe the new vette rims or something that resembles them. how much do you think those would cost? is there a site i can go to that shows how they would look on my ride?

Re: what rims should i get
If you're talking about Z06 rims, you won't find them for less than about 1200 without tires, unless it's the deal of the century. I thought I had found someone that would sell them to me with tires of my choice for $1300, but he'd never get back to me, so too bad for him...

yeah those rims are about 400 apiece, for the corvette, but you could get in touch with your local american racing dealer. they have a similar design for the camaro which might be less.

Apparently BMW rims fit camaro's perfect. I know it may sound weird but i've seen a camaro with 18" BMW X5 rims and believe me they were sweet. I'm saving up to buy a set myself.

I think the most beautiful wheels ever offered by GM were the ZR-1 style rims - also used on the LT1 SS Camaro's after '95.
If I were you, I would throw on a pair of 17 x 9.5" ZR-1 rims in the front, and a pair of 17 x 11" ZR-1 rims in the rear (to fit some thick-ass 315/35-17 rubber!). AFS has without a doubt the best deals on ZR-1 style rims - they have an auction on eBay right now for a set (4) of Silver ZR-1 wheels, 2 17x9.5 and 2 17x11, going for like $565. There is also a set of 4 17x9.5 polished ZR-1 rims also from eBay going for like $300. AFS offers wheel and tire packages from their website. Check these out: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2452691943 http://www.afswheels.com/v2/ I've got silver ZR-1 rims on my silver '95 Z28 and people think they are factory because they go so well with the car. Everyone's first response when I tell them what rims I've got is "oh no, you should have got them in chrome" - then they actually see it on the car and are blown away. ZR-1 rims look awesome on LT1 Camaro's. |
