jetta 1.8T...could something like this be done
Hey, im doing a little research for a friend of mine who has a Jetta 1.8T, i was wondering if something like what they've got here - http://www.c-speedracing.com/howto/mbc/mbc.html - is possible on that car. I don't know much about this car, I'm a Honda man myself and a newbie at that. Any info you guys could provide on the possibility of this home-made boost controller or a similar application would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

hmmmm....would this friend have an automatic jetta? does this friend own the jetta? will this friend's sister let him touch the jetta? These are all very important.

Also, i'm having this little thing over whether letting the booster cool down in a 01 jetta 1.8t is necessary. Like idling it for a little before turning it off after hard driving. And how reliable could the above mentioned home-made booster be? thanks

I agree with Rico. If he lets her touch it, hes obviously very trusting. I just dont know if hes ready for that kind of commitment....

Building your own boost controler is possible, but i would not reccomand it. If u do something wrong, poof no more engine, just get a reguler boost controler.
