Re: Turbo in the new eclipse modell?

Well the eclipse in 2Fast 2Furious has no turbo or supercharger. The real car they reproduced does have a Ripp Modifications supercharger.

hey wuz up or how are you im from the usa and ive had 4 eclipses a one from the first fast and furious movie and 3 from the second fast and the furious 2 of which where 5-speed the sad news is that their hardly any turbo kits for the 2000+ eclipes but the good news is that in 2005 mitsubishi will come back with a nice eclipse which will destroy everyone elses cars its going to be a 2 engine car a 3.8 liter engine gas which will produce around 270 hp and the second in the back which will be a electric engine which together will produce over 470 hp so wait and youll see the power of mitsubishi

Re: Turbo in the new eclipse modell?

You can't honestly believe that Mitsu, who has always been one step behind in the automotive technology marketplace, is going to offer an AWD eclipse that has a regular gas engine and an electric rear motor as well.

That is pure rubbish. Most likely, the 4G will be an AWD 270HP model.

Your talking about the Mitsubishi Eclipse Concept-E from the Auto Show. Well, son, the Eclipse your talking about is exactly what the name implies, a concept. Just because they put a concept eclipse after announcing a new model for 2005 doesn't mean the two ideas are linked.

Re: Turbo in the new eclipse modell?

Actually, that car that 2fast2furiousz was refering to was the Eclipse Concept E like Zero8985 said. However, it's not a 2 engine car. It's one engine. A hybrid 470 hp 3.8-liter V6 fortified with an E-Boost electric drive system. Pretty facinating actaually. 0-60 in about 4 seconds, lotsa hp, will smoke the 2005 corvette any day.
There this article on yahoo front page about the auto show. It said that if a production model were to come from this design, it would probably not have the 20 inch wheels and the hybrid E-boost system on the engine. And it woudl not be released in 2005.

Re: Turbo in the new eclipse modell?

You are wrong there. The concept E or whatever they call that thing has a 268 Hp 3.8L engine in front and an 201 HP electric drive motor in the rear.
And no matter if it will smoke a vette or not, it is ugly as sin and I would never get one.
If that car does come to the US, it will most likely have the 270 hp 3.8L MIVEC engine with electronically actuated RWD system, like Nissan's ATTESSA system.

Re: Turbo in the new eclipse modell?

it's only 1 engine. the system in the rear is only some kind of new "e-boost" electric motor and its what makes it a hybrid. it's not really an engine. it's 1 engine 2 motor. And you are right, if it comes it's going to greatly watered down.
