but if you already went into this much detail.. why didnt you cell shade the shadow of the car and the backround? it would look really good i think...
and maybe lower it a little ?

the style i choose is to blacken the windows and add the white glaring reflection. when i first did this one, i did try doing the interior (all my previous cel shadings have had the black windows) and i didn't like it that much.

when companies show off cars in print media, most of the time, the windows are all tinted. they want you to look at the car at first. the interior is something you look at when you go see it. kinda the same way i view my cel shadings, in a way.

as for the background? i love cars, not landscapes

uh, maybe the original i could give a crack at, but not that photoshop

and as to why i didn't lower it, i don't like wheels to be tucked up into the fenders. i like to drive my cars.

lol dragon... find a kitted eclipse that isn't chopped... speaking from experience, it is a NIGHTMARE to cell shade chopped cars.. the lines disappear right out from under you.

88 dude... nice shade, clean lines and all, but a few slight things make it look extremely flat. It's really hard to shade rounded cars, and I appreciate that, but it looks a lot more 3d-ish (paying respect to the car contours) if instead of using the thick line on the lines for the different shades, you use a thinner line. The thicker lines are usually reserved for the outermost edges, as well as things like doors, headlights, that kind of stuff. Another thing that makes it look off is that your wheels are flat. Not the brake pads, mind you.. the wheels themselves. The ones on the t-bird in your sig are beautiful. You did such a detailed job and obviously spent a lot of time on the car... why not finish the drill and get the wheels to look as good?

Overall excellent chop.. just needs to pop from the page a little more.

yea, i didn't feel like futzing with the wheels..

and i'm not gonna cel shade a, no offense, poorly chopped car.

it is possible to cel shade chopped cars. take for example this integra i did:

yeah it's possibly to do a chopped car, but it's gotta be a good chop. I tried doing a few of mine, and I use the clone brush sooo much when I chop that I get like no lines. Looks nice and clean when the chop's done, but makes shading a bitch. I don't have many chops that I would dare shade... also because I don't have the damn patience to do it. Nice job on the SVTegra by the way.
