High Pitched Squeal After MPFI swap

I noticed after I comepleted my MPFI swap that everytime I rev the car or soemtimes while im just normally driving I keep hearing a high pitched squeal.
I had my friend rev it up and I noticed the squeal is coming from the intake manifold.
It never used to do it with the DPFI manifold.
What is causing this?
I thought maybe it was the belts but the sound is coming nowhere near there, it over by the intake manifold and piping.
Thanks

Re: High Pitched Squeal After MPFI swap

ive come across this b4 and it was a vaccum leak at the mani gasket. double check the intake mani gasket as well as the tb gasket and vaccum lines.

Also check you alternator belt, if it isn't tight it makes an annoying squeel when you accelerate fast.

Re: High Pitched Squeal After MPFI swap

I don't know if you've tried this, but the "stethescope" method may help

if you take a fairly short piece of garden hose or something similar (but still long enough that you can keep your head at a safe distance) you can have your friend rev the engine while you move one end of the hose around and listen at the other

it sounds goofy but it can be quite helpful at semi-precisely locating a sound

you can also use a piece of vacuum line for the stethescope method, just incase your dad isn't too happy about you cutting the hose up...

hell spray some wd-40 around the intake mani. if there is a leak the idle will bog down a bit.
