Power??????

Can the Eclipse (AWD) be made to make enough power to compete with an EVO 8? What would it take?

Re: Power??????

they both use the same powerplant, the 4g63. the evo 8 has the evo 16g turbo and a FMIC stock. equip a GSX with the same setup [supporting mods i will say are equal as in intake, exaust, etc] and i would think it would come down to weight differences. i don't know who would come out on top, but internaly, they could be made equal.

FAstest EVO 8 is in the 11s (11.6 by pruven last I heard) fastest DSM is in the 8s. Both have the same potential.

I have a stock EVO 8 now and it's awesome. I have a project car in the form of an Eclipse and want the power I get from the EVO! And then some!

Re: Re: Power??????

well i think the gsx can beat the evo but if the same amout of mods were put into both cars i think the evo might win just because it is a more advanced car more improvements has been made to this new gen of 4g63 plants. but yes i dont doubt that a gsx\tsi can beat a evo 8.
