Angry 1996 Caravan - intermittently won't start

Problem started about a year ago:
1. Turn key and "nothing" - no crank; no click!
- try it again in a few minutes and it starts just fine
- once started it never shut down while driving
- could not diagnose at garage - no codes
- stopped occurring until a coupleof weeks ago, now it...
2. Starts then stalls after moving only a few metres
- turn key and same as # 1 all over again
- no codes show up
- then # 3 (the scary part)...
3. While driving home XMas Eve
- after driving for an hour it kicked out of "cruise control", tach and odometer gauges went to to zero immediately; lights stayed on; radio worked fine
- appeared to be slowing down so I touched the gas pedal and voila!! everything went back to normal!!!!
- did not have to reset cruise or resume it!!
- everything fine since then but I'm afraid to drive it
Any assistance would be approecaitated. THx. BIll
