Rough idle, intermittent check engine light, and intermittently won't start. 94 PAU.
to add to what the long detailed title says.. i've been dealing with a rough idle consistently, my check engine light will sometimes come on when i start it and then the throttle delivery will be rough and delayed and jerky, and then all i have to do is turn it off and start it again, and then the light goes off. and every now and again it wont start, even after it was already warm and running, it will turn but not fire, and then after a bunch of tries it will usually start right up. however last night i killed my battery trying to get it to start and then the today it started right up. crazy. i would love and appreciate help. thanks very much.

Sounds like a possible ignition problem, Have you checked the plug wires and coil packs?

Re: Rough idle, intermittent check engine light, and intermittently won't start. 94 PAU.
You should have a OBD-1 in your 94 so you can retrieve the code by jumping A and B at your diagnostic port with a paper clip and count the flashes, that is your code. The first one should be one flash, delay and two quick flashes. That is telling you the car is in test mode, code 12. the next codes that you receive will be your trouble code. Once you have you code, google it and that should give you a path to follow. For vehicles 96 and newer most auto parts stores can scan them for you or if the car doesn't run, you can give them a secuirty deposit and they will let you take the scanner home.http://www.2carpros.com/trouble_code...mg/gm_obd1.jpg
