check engine light

I had a remote car starter installed in my 97 Blazer. Now my service engine soon light comes on. When I reset the OBD by pulling the positive terminal on the battery, and then start the engine with the key, the light doesn't go on. But when I start it with the remote, the light comes on. I took it to Autozone to have them run a test it came up saying p1860 Transmission transfer case contact plate 'D' open circuit and short circuit to ground. It also said the PCM has determined that a malfunction exists in the electrical circuit for the torque converter clutch. However, the truck runs fine. All the power options work, the transmission shifts good. Does anyone have an idea as to what the problem could be? I've been racking my brain and just can't figure it out. Thanks.

Yep, you are sure right about blowbog starters. I read some stuff on their technical sight and saw that it was all wrong. I pitty those that install it that way. YOu are lucky that you didn't install this starter on a Full size GM. Your tranny would have been toasted!
