check engine light
I had a remote car starter installed in my 97 Blazer. Now my service engine soon light comes on. When I reset the OBD by pulling the positive terminal on the battery, and then start the engine with the key, the light doesn't go on. But when I start it with the remote, the light comes on. I took it to Autozone to have them run a test it came up saying p1860 Transmission transfer case contact plate 'D' open circuit and short circuit to ground. It also said the PCM has determined that a malfunction exists in the electrical circuit for the torque converter clutch. However, the truck runs fine. All the power options work, the transmission shifts good. Does anyone have an idea as to what the problem could be? I've been racking my brain and just can't figure it out. Thanks.

ended up being related to the car starter not sending positive spark to the transmission resulting in a SES light, the tech crossed the wires coming from the bullcrap car starter and it works great, just be warn bullcrap starters(bullDOg) suck an so do the instruction tech support also is lacking in being there!
