upgrades to my 96 2.2L cavalier

i have a 96 chevy cav, and its a stick, so its pretty fun to drive. but i wanted to kind of improve its performance a little bit, and was wondering if anyone knew of some good ways to get it running quicker by spending somewhere in the ballpark of like 600 bucks.

thanks

you could do what most people do and get an intake and exhaust. combined it will get you around 15-20 hp. it's not much, but it's something.
