Will 2.2L S10 swap with 2.2L Cavalier
Does any one know if there are differences between Chevy's 2.2L and any of the other 2.2L that Chevy makes? I need a 2.2L Chevy to go into a 86 S10. I was wandering if I could take the 2.2L from a Cavalier and place into the S10. Will a rear driven trans mount to it? Or is it different due to the frontwheel trans mounting arrangement? Also, does year model matter? Will a 97 or 00 year fit into an 86 with few mods?

i have a 95 s10 2.2 and they r diff the top and is the same but the block is diff i now that becase i tryed with mine but as far as an 86 i dont no now if your to swap all the wiring and so on ya but as far as plug and play no but good luck hunting (:
