280z vs. 280zx
i am currently planning to buy a 280z or 280zx, but the problem is i dont know what is the different between them two. can anyone please help me.
another question is wat is the average price for it. thanks.

Sorry, I just noticed this post.
Z and ZX are trim packages for the 280. The Z trim had the engine tuned for more power and offered a more spartan interior. The Z cars are lighter and a little more nimble. The ZX trim is the touring package. The 2.8L inline six cylinder engine produces less power in the ZX than it does in the Z. The interior of the ZX has more power options (windows, seats, cruise etc.). The ZX has a generally smoother ride due to a slightly lengthened wheel base and wider wheel track. The ZX also appears to have a slightly lower roof line than the Z but I don't know for sure. I don't know whether Datsun continued to produce the Z trim models after the ZX was released. Price wise, the remaining Z cars seem to be going for a better price than the ZX models, around 3k to 5k by my experience. I've seen ZX cars for under 2k. At least, this is the way I understand it. |
