Varible Speed Sensor (200SX)

For 1997 Nissan 200SX My speedometer does not work. My repair manual says how to check the varible speed sensor VSS on the transaxale but i can't find it. Can someone explain where I can look. or if there may be another problem with my speedometer (also cruise control not working).

Thanks,

Tom

Re: Varible Speed Sensor

its hooked up.. i think it had somethin to do with when i was looking my retractor timer unit, when i was installing my pivot controller.. (retractor unit is right behind the computer so i had to take the computer out) hasn't worked since then, and the red HICAS light has been on too.. everything still works (including HICAS) but the rpm doesn't show and the HICAS light is on

I know altimas are like S14s, I dunno about S13s, but my Altimas (94)tach doesn't work, it's caused by a screwed up circuit board behind the cluster, I need to get a new one, but I can't find them anywhere, I think they were discontinued a long time ago....
