95 Sentra vibration when slowing

I have a Sentra GXE with A/T.
Only when cold and only once a day the car will shudder when slowing to a stop. The first time each day the car is slowed down from above about 40 mph it does it. I thought maybe brakes, tune up, or CV joints. Nope, still does it. It feels like the transmission isn't down shifting quick enough or torque converter is hanging up. After servicing the tranny, I give up??? Even the local dealer is stumped. Help!!!
