motor vibration in drive and thumping in front when slowing down.
Can the motor mounts be worn out and still look ok? car has 40,000 miles on it. when idling in gear motor has vibration when put in park it smooths out. This is a 2000 SL1 automatic. When stopping sometimes there is a thumping in the front end . Brakes pad and rotors already repaired

Re: motor vibration in drive and thumping in front when slowing down.
its possible, they may look rotted. remember there are 4(two mounts, two sturts, only one is visibal from above) my quick test is with the engine running, pop the hood and snap the throttle by hand, some shaking is normal, tilting is not. if you are still undecided, search saturnfans.com
