First project 2004 *PICS*

I went to the hobby shop yesterday with the hop to fined a nice new project, and I came home with this:

A AMT '70 Camaro Baldwin Motion. I have tried to build this kit two times but it always end with the engine and wheels on some other car and some more parts in the part box. So I realy want to finnish it this time.

After some thinking I ended with a tan interior. I will add some details, but you have to wait until itīs ready to see them. I will fix the door trim and dash details tomorrow.

The chassi was painted in a metallic grey color, after that I did some overspray with the dark green metallic that is used for body color and then some clear overspray. The gas tank still needs some detail painting.

Body needs to be sanded, after that I will spray one or two more coats and then some clear.
Tomorrow I will start on the engine and finnish the interior.

Nice colour !
How is the quality of the kit ? AMT kits usually needs a lot of work to look good I think.

Thanks all!

Martin: Some of the new AMT kits are realy good, like this, the '39 Wagon Rod and the '32 Vickie. They just have one or two sinkmarks and some pinmarks, some of them can have some flash on some parts. But the older AMT kits are a lot more simpel and doesnīt have as good fit and it takes some time to get them to look good, But thatīs a part of model building.

The body is painted and clear coated. Iīm just about to start to polish it. I wish I had rememberd to heat the spray can, I only did that on the two last clear coats.

I have alredy started polishing the lower part of this side.

There is some differens before and after polishing.

Nice color. Looks very deep.

I like the overspray effect on the chassis. Nice touch.

I know that. I meant, who makes the paint, sorry for the misunderstanding.
