Symmetry techniques

What are some of the techniques everyone uses for sketching symmetry elements especially in the front of the car - e.g., grill, lights? If using photoshop or corel are there (semi)automated tools that can be used to help with some of the tedium?

I don't know, it just happens. You just draw it, if it looks right, leave it, if not, change it until it looks good...
