Exclamation Warn winching techniques.

Not sure if this is new, but I ran across it on the WARN site.

Nice hand signals ... we usually just scream and yell to each other.

Yeah, I kindof blew off the hand signals. We usually use thumb pointed in the direction to turn. Open hands facing driver for stop. Hands open (palms facing spotter) with fingers curling into palm repeatedly for move forward.

Then there is usually open hands facing driver with arms crossing each other repeatedly when they're not seeing your stop signal, accompanied by loud yelling "Stop, Stop, Stop!"

I haven't read all the way through it yet, but this does look helpful. I'm thinking about printing out a copy and keeping it in the truck. There is alot to remember when undertaking a hairy extraction and just taking the time to go through a check list llike this would ensure safety. I've been on the Warn site numerous times, when working with them to replace a capscrew that popped loose on my winch, but have never seen this. Thanks for the link.

....middle finger = "you're not listening to me and I am going to make you get yourself out of here if you don't start"

....both hands over face = "you're such a moron, how did you even get into this spot, I should leave your dumb ass here"

etc etc etc.....
