Some Help for a 92 Corolla

I need some help here. I'm gonna try to fix my Corolla but not quite sure where or what to look for.

1. Something is wrong with the brake lights about a year and a half ago the car failed inspection due to the brake lights "wig/wagging" 3 lights were burnt out, no problems so we thought, but i noticed that the one light was still kind of doing it. I brought it back it made it through and passed, Thank You state of NJ for not being so strict! well the car is back up for inspection this year the entire pass. brake light doesn't work. the bulbs are fine, when you press the brakes it lights up very dimmly, but once you turn on the headlights on and hit the brakes the lights go out. Someone told me that it's the brake light module and it's located in the trunk?!?!?? Now my question to anyone is if you have already replaced this or has had this same problem , what's causing it and where is it located?

I alos have other things to fix on the car but this is the current one that i can't seem to figure out.

Any tips or info will be greatly appreciated

Paul

Re: Some Help for a 92 Corolla

before you go for a module ,find the earth for the rear lights and test,or earth out the affected lamp and see what happens.
