96 bone stock integra ls vs camaro z71

Ok so im cruzing down i95 on my way home from my friends houseon a rainy day with my other friend jose and i hit a stoplight. Right next pulls up a Camaro on the side of it it had some stickers that said z71 rs. My friend said it stood for rally sport or something since he owns a comaro himself. i look over to the driver and make a rolling hand signal, like wanna roll or race in other words after i revved my engine. he peers back at me looking at my newly bought 96 integra ls with my ghetto hubcaps and all and starts to laugh then revs back. when the light hit green i dropped the clutch around 1800rpm since it was wet out. off the line i get over 1 car length then the next thing i know i am over 6 car lengths ahead of him. i shutdown at about 60mph and as he pulls up to us at the next stop light i said good race and he started saying something about a screwdriver getting stuck under his gas petal. then he takes a right onto the next road without wanting to race me again. i thoguht it was cool he wasnt too much of a poor sport but who knows if what he said was true or not. anyways i thought it was a good kill.

If I'm not mistaken, a Z71 is a chevy truck. I'm not sure why someone would have stickers like that on a Camaro, but I have seen stranger things. The screw driver thing sounds bogus. Maybe he meant he was drinking a screw driver? You have to consider too, that if it was a V8 Camaro, he is not going to have any traction in the rain. I have problems getting my tires to stop spinning through third gear when its nice and dry, much less when it rains.

He would have smoked you with ease if he felt like it, wet or dry. A stock teg is NO match for a RS Camaro. Nice though.

I don't know, the last few years they made RS's they were only 6'ers that a little slower than a gsr.

camaro z71 rs? okay well lets examine this: "camaro rs" is an actual model, its the 6 cyl with a body kit. but z71? thats the "off road" package on chevy trucks? who knows maybe it was a 4x4 camaro? more likely it was a bad case of "domestic rice." on a related note i once saw a lowered chevy truck that had a custom sticker in the spot the z71 sticker usually goes that said "z-69 on-road" i thought that was rather humorous. also i saw a chavey truck slammed almost scraping frame with the "z-71 off-road" and thought that was humorous as well.

That is true, but he said he had hubcaps. Last time I checked, GSR's came with alloys stock.:smoker2:

the z-69 badge on the chevy pick-up ...i have seen one of those in my area as well. i am not sure if it is a chevy factory upgrade suche as the z-71 z-28 and z-34 and so on. or if it is an aftermarket company's sticker and mods. you would think since it was in the same lettering and stuff that it was either not copyrighted..or liscensed by chevy.....as for the slammed z-71. people do crazy things such as slamming 4-wd pick ups. there are 2 or 3 slammed dually pickups where i live....as for the z-71 rs....as you guys said..the rs is a prettied up 6 banger. and a z-71 is the off-road pick up. either the story was a load of BS. i dont think a brand new integra, short of a GSR could get 6 lengths ahead of a camero that was trying. or the guy with the camero was just an idiot....my .02

Bringing up threads older than 3 mos is a around here. Especially if you're doing it just to call somebody a name. Somebody who isn't even around to see what you posted.
